BASIL is very important plant and plays very important role in life of every INDIAN . It is grown in every house as sacred tree. During mont zah of November special festival of marriage of Tulsi with Lord Vishnu is organised. Commonly people knows two different type of BASIL in India . They are 1) Ram Tulsi ( Ocimum Bascilicum) 2) Shyam Tulsi ( Ocimum Sanctum) Both types have been grown in INDIA from time immemorial. This enabled INDIA to become largest producer of its various variety in last few decade. In recent time Ministry of AYUSH has recommended same for TEA as well as for herbs & oil . This enabled many cos. to launch various products in user friendly mode like " PANCH TULSI" which has become effective in preventive care of COVID 19 .In folk medicine practices, such as those of Ayurvedaor traditional Chinese medicine, basil is thought to have therapeutic properties.
